A Stunning French Bateau Air Jetted Skirted Bathtub with No Remote Parts
Two tub shells. The outer shell is new 99.6% pure 1.6mm thick hammered copper from the mill. We do not use re-cycled copper. The inner shell is 3/4" thick, heavy duty, CoreAcryl double skin, easy clean acrylic.
The outer shell fits snugly into the groove under the roll top on the CoreAcryl interior tub. The CoreAcryl tub shell is supported on a steel frame that has four height adjustable foot supports. These foot supports are used to adjust height on uneven floors as well as to attach the tub to the floor. The support for the inner shell is also attached to the outer copper shell creating a single unit, not two separate parts. The shells can be easily separated and re-connected if required for access purposes.
The overall feel is that of a very substantially built single bathtub.
This tub is very simple to install. The 1.5" tub drain can be attached to either a PVC hub fitting or an Island floor drain with tailpiece. There is no requirement for any exterior piping or tubing and the tub can sit anywhere in the room with nothing except the beautiful shell showing.
The tub has an elegantly stylish slotted overflow that is integrated into the factory supplied floor drain and does not require any additional pipework. The 'Firm Touch Drain Stopper' in high gloss bright white, compliments the finish of the tub.
To guarantee no leaks on the overflow, every single tub we supply is fully leak tested and approved before shipping.
The inner shell has an easy clean, high gloss slip resistant bathing well floor. A soft cloth with some liquid soap will remove any marks.
Tub exterior finish. The exterior shell has a hammered, light aged patina that will continue to age slowly in the home.
Air Jetting. The 'Ultra Quiet' air blower and air tubing etc. are housed inside the cavity between the inner and outer shells. The blower will heat the air to the 12 air jets positioned on the tub floor. Even though the air will in fact be warmer than the water in your tub, it will still feel a little cool when it initially touches your skin. The jets are activated using a wireless handheld remote control that also controls the air speed. Non-return valves are used to prevent water running into the airlines or from reaching the blower. However, we recommend after each use to activate the blower for 10 seconds to dry out any residual moisture that may have become trapped in the lines.
The electrical plug can be placed either under the tub or on the wall behind the tub. The electrical requirement is 110v-15amp and should always be protected by an easily accessible GFCI.
The bathtub is ICC-ES tested and UL listed and approved.
